Win Tickets to see Alphabeat at the HN Challenge Grand Final in Stirling!

Bauer Media and the Scottish Qualifications Authority today announce details of the Grand Final of the HN Challenge – the new music quiz for 16-24 year olds that has taken Scotland by storm. On Wednesday 25th November, Danish chart-toppers - Alphabeat - will be heading to Albert Halls in Stirling and you could be there - thanks to End Of Term Magazine.

Alphabeat burst onto the UK music scene in late 2007 with their highly-infectious blend of retro 80’s electro-pop. They made an indelible impact with their debut single “Fascination”. Subsequent releases “10,000 nights of Thunder” and “Boyfriend” created just as much of an impression and it wasn’t long before their album “This is Alphabeat” was certified gold in the UK. The Danish 6-piece are set to release their second album “The Spell” on Polydor in February 2010.

The HN Challenge was created by the Scottish Qualifications Authority in partnership with Bauer Media to promote Higher National Certificates and Diplomas and to encourage young people to check out the huge variety and scope of HN courses available at their local colleges. HN Qualifications provide young people with the practical know-how to find good jobs and are, in every way, “Qualifications for the Real World”.

Over the past 4 weeks regional heats have taken place in Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Kilmarnock and Galashiels. The winners and runners-up from all heats - a total of 14 teams - will now compete in the final in the hope to be crowned the HN Challenge Champions 2009 and win the star prize – a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Europe to catch 5 great gigs at 5 legendary venues over 5 whistle-stop days.
