Telecommunications giant O2 has unveiled Think Big, an ambitious new £5 million scheme which will provide grants for young people making a difference in their communities.
Think Big – developed in conjunction with charities the National Youth Agency and UK Youth – will offer 13 to 25 year olds £300 to help tackle the local issues that really matter to them. The scheme will also provide training, support and mentoring from some of the UK’s leading youth charities.
O2’s UK Chief Executive, Ronan Dunne explained: “We believe young people’s ideas can have a huge positive impact on their communities and we want to enable and empower them to deliver change for themselves. This is a totally new approach; it’s about listening to young people and working with them to create genuine social change.”
